Sanam Saeed has shared a heartfelt note for her character Zeba as the drama Kafeel moves into a new phase. The popular ARY show has now introduced Zeba’s four children, marking a major shift in the story.
Taking to Instagram, Saeed posted stills from Kafeel and reflected on Zeba’s journey. She described the character as sweet, obedient, and naive. She also questioned the idea that a “farmabardar beti” should sacrifice her future for others.
Saeed wrote that obedience should not come at the cost of peace and self-respect. She urged women to value their own happiness and build confidence. She said education and financial independence are key to a secure life.
As Kafeel moves forward, Zeba’s children are now part of the story. They are played by Aashir Wajahat, Areeka Haq, Nooray Zeeshan, and Hania Ahmed. Saeed reminded viewers that marriage should not be treated as life’s only goal.
She added that a healthy marriage needs respect and understanding. Childhood experiences, she said, shape who children become later in life.
Saeed also thanked viewers for their strong response. Many women told her they saw their own struggles in Zeba’s story. She said the first chapter of Kafeel was meant to be a wake-up call.
The drama is written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Meesam Naqvi. It follows Zeba, a teacher who balances work, home, and a difficult marriage. Her husband Jamshed, played by Emmad Irfani, is shown as insecure and verbally harsh.
With its new chapter, Kafeel continues to highlight social issues faced by women. The show aims to encourage self-respect, awareness, and emotional strength.
