Actress Fazila Qazi Expresses Anger Over Persistent Nepotism

Ahmed Ali Buttโ€™s podcast has sparked fresh debate about ongoing nepotism and favoritism in the entertainment industry. Actress Fazila Qazi shared her concerns during the discussion. She spoke openly about the challenges faced by deserving artists.

During the podcast, Fazila Qazi said ongoing nepotism exists and affects fair opportunities. She explained that recommending someone with talent is not wrong. However, problems begin when undeserving people get roles through connections.

Ahmed Ali Butt added his view on the issue. He said nepotism happens when someone gets work without merit. He stressed that such people often fail to deliver strong performances. Fazila agreed with this point and expanded on it.

She said time, money, and resources are wasted on less skilled individuals. According to her, talented artists are often ignored. This situation harms the quality of projects and limits creative growth.

The discussion then shifted to personal choices. Butt asked if ongoing nepotism influenced her decision about her sonsโ€™ careers. Fazila replied that the industry lacks stability. She said it is called an industry, but it does not function like one.

Fazila also spoke about unfair contracts. She said actors have little control over terms and conditions. Most contracts favor producers and channels. She compared this imbalance to a patriarchal system.

She further explained that senior figures enjoy flexible contracts. Meanwhile, many actors cannot negotiate basic rights. This creates frustration and insecurity for performers.

The actress also raised concerns about a powerful group controlling the industry. She referred to it as a โ€œmafiaโ€ that pushed out private producers. According to her, independent producers once brought diverse ideas and stories.

Ahmed Ali Butt added that many TV channels now run their own production houses. Fazila agreed and said this shift reduced creative freedom. She questioned the absence of independent voices today.

On a lighter note, Fazila joked about facing backlash after the podcast. She also claimed her award show clips were sometimes edited out. Despite this, she ended on a hopeful note. She said respect comes from God, not industry politics.

The podcast highlighted real concerns about ongoing nepotism. It also opened space for honest discussion about fairness and reform.
