The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has informed citizens about the fees for age modification on national identity cards. The update covers both domestic and overseas applicants.
NADRA allows citizens to request corrections to their date of birth on identity cards. Applications are accepted at NADRA Registration Centres (NRCs) across Pakistan, through Pakistani embassies abroad, or via the Pak ID mobile app.
To apply for age modification, citizens must provide valid documentary proof, such as a birth certificate or other official records. The process ensures accuracy and verification before the change is applied.
For applicants within Pakistan, NADRA charges vary based on the requested change:
- Up to 1 year: Rs 1,000
- More than 1 year up to 2 years: Rs 2,000
- More than 2 years up to 3 years: Rs 3,000
- More than 3 years: Rs 5,000
- Second age change: Rs 10,000
Overseas applicants pay fees in US dollars:
- Up to 1 year: $15
- More than 1 year up to 2 years: $25
- More than 2 years up to 3 years: $40
- More than 3 years: $65
- Second age change: $125
The fee structure for age modification ensures transparency and accommodates both local and international applicants. NADRA emphasizes that all documents must be authentic to process the request successfully.
Citizens are encouraged to apply for corrections promptly to avoid complications in official records. The service aims to maintain accurate identity information for all Pakistanis, both at home and abroad.
NADRA continues to expand its digital services, making it easier for citizens to request age modification through online platforms while reducing the need for in-person visits.
The announcement underscores NADRAโs commitment to providing accessible, verified, and efficient identity services to the public.
