Kidnapped KIPS College CEO Returns Home Safely After Police Action

LAHORE โ€“ The chief executive officer of a KIPS college , Abid Wazir Khan, has safely returned home after being released by his kidnappers. The incident occurred in Lahoreโ€™s Johar Town area, raising concerns about security in the city.

Police confirmed that Khan is in good health and his condition is reported to be satisfactory. Authorities have launched a full investigation into the abduction, with efforts ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible. Further details will be shared once the inquiry is completed.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered at Johar Town police station on January 22, Khan was abducted while leaving his office. At the time, he was reportedly speaking on the phone with the KIPS college โ€™s female general manager.

The manager stated that she heard an unfamiliar voice on the call. The man allegedly claimed that Khan had caused an accident involving his vehicle. Shortly afterward, Khanโ€™s mobile phone was switched off, leaving his exact location unknown.

Police have stated that they are examining all leads, including phone records and CCTV footage from the area, to trace the kidnappers. Security experts have also advised educational institutions in Lahore to remain vigilant and strengthen safety measures for staff.

The abduction has sparked concerns among KIPS college staff and parents. Many expressed relief at Khanโ€™s safe return but urged authorities to ensure such incidents do not happen again. The college administration has assured students and staff that additional security arrangements will be implemented.
