Punjab CM Laptop Scheme 2026: Check Eligibility and Apply Now

Punjab students have a reason to celebrate as the government has launched a new phase of the CM Laptop Scheme. The initiative aims to promote digital inclusion, skill development, and educational growth for students across the province.

The Laptop Scheme is open to students who meet specific eligibility criteria. Applicants must hold a domicile from any district of Punjab and be enrolled in the 1st or 2nd semester of a B.S. program at public universities, colleges, or selected private universities. Additionally, students in public medical, dental, nursing, and DVM programs in their 1st professional year are eligible.

Academic requirements vary depending on the program. Public university and college students must have scored at least 65% in intermediate. Medical and dental students need 80%, DVM students 75%, and nursing students 65%. Students who have previously received a laptop under any scheme are not eligible.

Interested students can apply for the Punjab CM Laptop Scheme via the official portal at cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk. The deadline for applications is February 15, 2026. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.

The Laptop Scheme provides multiple benefits for students. It supports educational growth by providing essential technology for learning. It ensures digital inclusion by giving students access to digital resources across Punjab. The program also encourages skill development, helping students gain competencies for modern careers. Furthermore, it reduces financial barriers, promoting economic empowerment for students and their families.

Millions of laptops have already been distributed in previous phases of the scheme. Each allocation is carefully reviewed to ensure fairness and transparency. During a ceremony in Muzaffarabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the initiative and highlighted its importance in supporting students.

The Punjab government continues to emphasize that the CM Laptop Scheme is a cornerstone of its commitment to education and technology. Officials say the program not only improves access to learning tools but also strengthens students’ ability to succeed in the modern digital world.
