Pakistani actress Hina Dilpazeer opened up about her iconic role of Momo in the popular sitcom Bulbulay during a recent podcast interview. The discussion took place on Buzz with host Hassan Choudary.
Hina explained the challenges of performing comedy, saying, “It’s difficult to make people laugh. If it’s not funny for me, how will it be funny for others?” She emphasized that enjoying the act personally is key, stating, “It’s not simply a character that needs to be performed. You never know if people are going to laugh at it or not. Enjoying it on your own is more important, that’s what I do.”
The host asked Hina about how actors can create better relatability with audiences. She replied, “Being natural while acting is more clickable with the audience.” She added that the simplicity and authenticity of her performance help connect with viewers.
Hassan Choudary noted that Bulbulay is widely recognized for its clean comedy. He said, “Comedy for kids, simple and clean. People are connecting with it.” Hina agreed and pointed out that the show’s simplicity is part of its charm.
Reflecting on her experience, Hina said, “Simple things are easier to do. I have worked on projects with heavy budgets, using cranes and special effects, yet sometimes there is no result. With Momo, it’s the simplicity and relatability that makes the character so successful.”
Hina Dilpazeer’s portrayal of Momo has become a defining role in her career. Fans praise her comedic timing, expressive gestures, and ability to connect with viewers through everyday humor. The character continues to be loved across Pakistan and among audiences of all ages.
The actress also mentioned that her focus on natural performance over complicated production techniques ensures that Momo remains both memorable and entertaining. She believes that genuine enjoyment in performing translates into laughter for the audience.
