QUETTA: Security forces in Pakistan successfully killed 41 terrorists linked to Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan during two separate operations in Balochistan. The actions took place on January 29, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The first operation targeted a terrorist hideout near Harnai district. Acting on credible intelligence, security forces carried out a raid on militants affiliated with Fitna-al-Khawarij. During a fierce exchange of fire, 30 terrorists were killed. A large collection of weapons, ammunition, and explosive material was recovered and destroyed at the site.
In a second intelligence-based operation in Panjgur, security forces killed 11 terrorists linked to Fitna-al-Hindustan. The militants had Indian backing and were involved in previous terrorist activities. Their hideouts were demolished, and weapons and ammunition were seized and destroyed. Authorities also recovered money looted during a recent bank robbery.
The ISPR confirmed that both operations were based on actionable intelligence and carefully planned to minimize risks to civilians. The slain terrorists were reportedly part of multiple violent incidents in the province.
Officials emphasized that the operations highlight the commitment of security forces to maintain peace and security in the region. The ISPR spokesperson reaffirmed that ongoing actions aim to eliminate terrorist threats from Pakistan completely.
Recovered weapons and ammunition from both operations were safely destroyed to prevent misuse. Authorities said that similar intelligence-based operations will continue to ensure the safety of citizens and counter hostile elements.
These operations underscore the growing role of intelligence in combating terrorism. They also demonstrate the coordination between different branches of Pakistanโs security forces in neutralizing organized militant networks.
Local authorities and law enforcement have praised the efforts, calling them a major step toward restoring stability in Balochistan. Analysts noted that such decisive operations send a strong message to militant groups operating in the province.
