Fire Breaks Out in Bahria Town Flats Rawalpindi, Residents Evacuated

A fire broke out in multiple flats of Bahria Town, Rawalpindi, on Saturday, causing panic among residents. The incident occurred in Phase 7 of the housing society. Thick smoke and flames quickly spread through the building, prompting an emergency response.

Two people were trapped inside the flats due to the fire and dense smoke. Rescue teams immediately rushed to the scene. Both individuals were safely evacuated and did not sustain serious injuries.

Rescue 1122 dispatched 20 personnel and seven emergency vehicles to handle the situation. Firefighters worked swiftly to bring the fire under control. Cooling operations continued for several hours to prevent any flare-ups. Authorities confirmed that no deaths or significant property losses occurred during the incident.

The local administration praised the prompt response of the rescue teams. Their quick action ensured the safety of all residents in the affected flats. Residents were evacuated as a precaution, and the building was secured after the fire was controlled.

This is not the first fire-related accident reported in Rawalpindi recently. Earlier this month, on January 15, a house fire in Niazi Town left four young girls with serious burn injuries. The children, aged between three and seven, were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for emergency treatment.

According to officials, the Niazi Town fire started when a heater was left on in a room while the children were unattended. The incident highlighted the risks of domestic fires and the importance of careful supervision.

Authorities in Rawalpindi have urged residents to follow fire safety rules, including checking electrical equipment and ensuring proper ventilation. They also advised families to avoid leaving children unattended near heaters or other fire hazards.
