Emergency Declared in Quetta After Blasts And Gunfire kill Two Police Officers

Balochistan has been hit by multiple explosions and gunfire in Quetta and other cities, leaving at least two police officers dead. Authorities have declared an emergency to control the escalating situation.

According to police, a deadly blast in Quetta killed two officers, while locals reported continuous gunfire and explosions. Buildings shook as a powerful explosion rocked Saryab Road, terrifying residents.

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) stated that four alleged militants were killed during an operation in Quetta. Following the attacks, the Balochistan government immediately declared an emergency, suspending public gatherings and restricting movement in sensitive areas.

The violence is not limited to Quetta. Cities including Pasni, Noshki, and Kharan have reported attacks, indicating a coordinated wave of violence across the province. Train services entering and leaving Quetta have been temporarily suspended due to security concerns.

Internet services have been cut in Quetta, while police helicopters patrol the skies to monitor the situation. The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a banned militant group, has claimed responsibility, calling the assault the second phase of โ€œOperation Hero.โ€

Explosions were reported near Helper Hospital, Tariq Hospital, and Jinnah Road, leaving locals in panic. Emergency responders rushed to the scenes to provide assistance to injured civilians and secure the affected areas.

Officials have warned residents to remain indoors as authorities continue operations against the militants. The emergency declared across the province aims to stabilize the law-and-order situation and prevent further attacks.

The ongoing attacks have prompted nationwide attention, with security agencies on high alert and additional reinforcements deployed to vulnerable areas. Residents are urged to follow official instructions until authorities confirm the situation is under control.
