After many years, Lahore is ready to celebrate its iconic festival, Basant. The city will come alive with colour, kites, and public gatherings. Joining the celebrations, Yango Pakistan has announced special services to support safe and joyful movement across the city.
From February 6 to 8, 2026, the company will offer free rickshaw rides and deliveries in Lahore. The initiative aims to make travel easier during the busy Basant days. It also supports the Punjab government’s focus on public safety and wellbeing.
During the three-day festival, Yango-branded rickshaws will operate across major roads and public parks. These rides will be available through the Yango Super App. The service is designed to help families, friends, and kite flyers move around the city safely.
Each ride and rickshaw courier delivery will receive a subsidy of up to Rs200. Through this support, nearly 80,000 free trips will be provided citywide. The initiative is expected to reduce travel costs during peak festival hours.
The colourful rickshaws will also add to the festive atmosphere. They reflect Lahore’s cultural charm and Basant traditions. Organisers say the service will make the celebrations more inclusive.
To improve safety, Yango Pakistan will distribute 5,000 safety rods to partner motorcycle drivers in Lahore. These tools are meant to reduce risks during heavy traffic and kite flying activities. Drivers who prefer to stay home during Basant will not face penalties or deductions.
The company has also introduced a special giveaway for customers. A total of 3,000 branded kites have been produced for the festival. Customers can win them through cargo, bike, rickshaw, or car courier orders via Yango Delivery. This promotion will begin four days before Basant.
Speaking on the occasion, the company’s country head said Basant holds deep emotional value for Lahoris. She noted that the festival brings people together across all backgrounds. The goal is to help residents celebrate while staying safe and responsible.
The free rides and deliveries are part of Yango Pakistan’s people-first and local approach. Through such efforts, the company aims to provide reliable and affordable services during important cultural events.
