Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described Pakistan’s actions during the Marka-e-Haq conflict as an unforgettable response to India’s proxy terrorism efforts. Speaking at a special Kashmir Solidarity Day session in Muzaffarabad, he highlighted the recent counterterrorism success in Balochistan.
Sharif condemned India for supporting militant groups that targeted civilians across Balochistan in multiple districts, including Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar, and Pasni on January 31. He called Pakistan’s swift action a decisive and unforgettable response to the attacks.
Operation Raddul Fitna-1, a coordinated intelligence-based campaign, eliminated 216 terrorists linked to India-backed networks. Despite the victory, the operation cost the lives of 36 innocent civilians, including women and children, and 22 security personnel. The prime minister praised the bravery of the forces and termed their courage as central to Pakistan’s unforgettable response.
Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Kashmiris, calling the territory the “jugular vein of Pakistan.” He paid tribute to the sacrifices of Kashmiri freedom fighters and stressed that their struggle continues to expose the truth globally.
He credited the Marka-e-Haq victory to the leadership of Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir. Sharif also recognized Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for effectively projecting Pakistan’s stance internationally, noting that India’s diplomatic narrative had been countered decisively.
“The victory is not only Pakistan’s but also belongs to the people of Kashmir,” he said. The prime minister reiterated that lasting peace in South Asia is impossible without India ending its aggressive agenda and allowing Kashmiris the right to self-determination.
The Marka-e-Haq conflict, Sharif asserted, sent a clear message: Pakistan’s resilience and strategic action will always remain an unforgettable response to aggression.
