The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) successfully concluded Exercise Golden Eagle, a high-intensity, multi-domain warfighting drill held in the Southern Air Command area. The exercise highlighted PAF’s combat readiness and its ability to respond effectively to evolving regional security challenges.
Golden Eagle Roars demonstrated advanced air operations through the integration of AI-enabled and net-centric combat systems. Indigenous smart and disruptive technologies were extensively employed, signaling PAF’s rapid transformation toward next-generation warfare and readiness for complex battlefields.
The exercise operated on a robust Integrated Air Defence System. Friendly forces achieved complete battlespace dominance using a coordinated mix of kinetic firepower and non-kinetic effects, including cyber operations, space-based capabilities, and electromagnetic warfare. Multi-role fighter jets equipped with long-range BVR missiles and precision-guided munitions showcased first-shot, first-kill capabilities.
Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft, along with air-to-air refuelling platforms, extended operational reach and ensured continuous situational awareness across the battlespace. The PAF also successfully demonstrated manned–unmanned teaming. Deep-penetration killer drones and loitering munitions operated effectively in electronically degraded and contested environments, proving the force’s high-tempo operational capability.
The exercise was commanded from the Next-Generation All-Domain Command and Control Centre at Air Headquarters, Islamabad, enabling real-time decision-making and seamless integration across air, cyber, space, and electromagnetic domains.
