Taking to social media, Asim clarified that the individual was not a fan but a member of his security team. He explained that the bouncer had been behaving inappropriately, particularly towards women and children, prompting him to intervene.
“So, in the video where I am apparently addressing a ‘fan’—it’s not a fan. The person was a bouncer, part of the security team. Throughout the show he was pushing fans, girls, and kids. Before I could say anything, he even came on stage and jumped. When I addressed him, he yelled, ‘Hey, I am a bouncer.’ I got triggered. Brother, you are a bouncer, do your work, you are pushing the kids, and then want to show everyone you are superior,” Asim wrote.
Asim emphasized that his actions were meant to protect concert attendees and maintain a safe environment. He acknowledged that emotions played a role but defended his decision to call out inappropriate behaviour.
“I’m sorry, but I will always call out behaviour like this in my shows. Maybe next time thora araam se, but I still will. I want all my fans to feel safe, heard, and seen by me and my team when they attend a show. Sorry if I got carried away with my emotions, but it was important,” he added.
