PM Shehbaz Honors Hero at Islamabad Mosque, Pledges Rs10 Million!

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over last week’s suicide attack at Tarlai Imambargah that killed dozens of worshippers.

During his visit to Imambargah Khadija-tul-Kubra on Wednesday, Shehbaz Sharif met families of the martyrs and victims affected by the attack. He praised the bravery of young Auon Abbas, who attempted to stop the attacker, saying the nation will remember his sacrifice in golden words.

“Nothing can justify this extreme brutality,” the Prime Minister said. He condemned the attack as a deliberate attempt to sow discord and emphasised that the sinister plot to create divisions among Muslims had failed. Shehbaz Sharif assured that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not be in vain.

The death toll in the Tarlai mosque attack has now risen to 35. In recognition of Auon Abbas’ heroism, Shehbaz Sharif announced that his family would receive Rs10 million. Families of other martyrs will be awarded Rs5 million each.

During the visit, Shehbaz Sharif was briefed by Islamabad’s Inspector General of Police on the progress of investigations into the terrorist attack. The Prime Minister held one-on-one meetings with the families of victims and offered prayers for the departed souls.

Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring security and protecting citizens from terrorism. He stated that the authorities are taking all necessary measures to prevent such attacks in the future.
