At least seven people were killed in a tragic Feroz road crash near Khairpur, police reported. The victims were traveling from Larkana to Karachi in a car.
The deceased have been identified as Nadeem, Ghulam Solangi, Abdul Hakeem, Haji Khan, Bakhshal, Sohrab, and Manzoor. All were residents of Naseerabad. Police confirmed that their bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital for postmortem procedures.
Meanwhile, another serious accident occurred on the National Highway near Tando Masti Khan. A passenger coach collided with a trailer, resulting in 11 deaths and 10 injuries. This crash has been separately investigated and registered with Motorway Police Officer Muhammad Ismail as the complainant.
The ill-fated coach was traveling from Punjab to Karachi when it attempted to overtake another vehicle. During the maneuver, it rammed into a trailer, causing the fatal collision. Police confirmed that both the driver and conductor of the coach were among those killed.
Coach owner Imtiaz Warraich, trailer driver Nawab, and others have been booked in connection with the incident. A police team has been formed to arrest the accused and present them before the court, SHO Tando Masti stated.
The injured from both accidents have been admitted to local hospitals. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the Feroz road crash and the coach-trailer collision to determine liability.
These incidents highlight ongoing road safety concerns on Pakistanโs highways. Officials urge drivers to follow traffic rules strictly and exercise caution to prevent further tragedies.
