The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has announced that security forces have successfully killed 14 terrorists in separate operations in Quetta and Barkhan, Balochistan.
In Quetta’s Darakhshan area, eight terrorists were killed following an exchange of fire. Three CTD personnel were injured and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants. Investigations suggest they were linked to a banned organization.
In Barkhan, an intelligence-based raid led to the death of six more terrorists. Security officials confirmed that weapons and explosives were seized, and the slain individuals were involved in subversive activities.
The CTD spokesperson said that both operations demonstrate the ongoing efforts of security forces to maintain peace in Balochistan. These actions reinforce the commitment to counter terrorism and eliminate threats in the region.
Earlier this month, security forces killed 24 terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during two operations on February 4-5, 2026. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that the killed terrorists were linked to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij.
In Orakzai District, an intelligence-based operation resulted in 14 terrorists being killed after an intense fire exchange. Another operation in Khyber District led to the killing of ten more Khwarij terrorists. Weapons and explosives were recovered from both locations.
Security analysts said the repeated successes in eliminating militants show the effectiveness of intelligence-led operations. They stressed that such measures are essential to prevent terrorist attacks and protect civilians.
The spokesperson urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities. Authorities have stated that operations against terrorist outfits will continue until all threats are neutralized.
With these latest actions, security forces have confirmed that a total of 38 terrorists have been killed in recent operations, highlighting ongoing efforts to counter terrorism.
The CTD and other security outfits killed terrorists in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, underscoring a nationwide crackdown on militant networks.
