On the directions of the Prime Minister, a high-level meeting was held to review preparations for the Ramzan Relief Package 2026. The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah.
Officials from NADRA, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), National Telecommunication Corporation, Press Information Department, and participating banks attended the session.
The focus of the meeting was to ensure smooth implementation of the Relief Package before the start of Ramzan. The minister directed the State Bank of Pakistan to immediately begin crediting the Ramzan Relief amounts to beneficiaries.
He also instructed the SBP to ensure that all banks remain fully operational on the first day of Ramzan. This step aims to prevent delays in payments under the Relief Package. The minister further ordered that all pending beneficiary bank accounts be opened on a priority basis.
To improve coordination, the minister directed the creation of a WhatsApp group for all designated focal persons. Progress updates will be shared twice daily to monitor the Relief Package implementation.
Later, the minister visited the control room set up to monitor disbursements under the Relief Package 2026. He reviewed performance through a real-time dashboard system.
According to official data, nearly 200,000 calls have been received so far. Over 95,000 calls were resolved through the IVR system. Around 23,000 calls were handled directly by call agents.
The minister directed BISP to keep the control room operational 24/7 during the first ten days of Ramzan. This will ensure uninterrupted support for beneficiaries of the Relief Package.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to social protection. He said the Ramzan Relief Package 2026 is designed to provide transparent and targeted financial assistance to vulnerable families.
The government aims to ensure that eligible citizens receive timely support during the holy month. Authorities stressed that effective coordination and real-time monitoring will play a key role in the success of the Relief Package.
