SSGC Announces Ramadan Gas Supply Schedule - Check Here

KARACHI โ€“ Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has shared its gas supply schedule for the holy month of Ramadan. The company confirmed that gas will remain suspended for only four and a half hours daily, ensuring continuous availability for households.

According to SSGC, domestic consumers will have access to gas with adequate pressure during Sehri and Iftar times. A company spokesperson said gas will be supplied uninterrupted from 3:00 am to 10:30 pm. The brief suspension will occur between 10:30 pm and 3:00 am.

The spokesperson emphasized that this schedule aims to make Ramadan convenient for families preparing meals. Special attention will be given to Sehri and Iftar periods to maintain optimal gas pressure and avoid disruptions.

Despite an annual decline of up to 10 percent in Pakistanโ€™s gas reserves, the government has assured SSGC of additional gas supply during Ramadan. This measure will help improve services and ensure that households experience minimal inconvenience.

SSGC also reminded consumers that any issues with gas pressure or interruptions can be reported through their helpline 1199, the mobile app, or at the nearest Customer Facilitation Center. The company promised immediate action on all complaints to restore normal gas supply.

Additionally, SSGC warned against the illegal use of gas compressors. Using such devices can disrupt supply for neighboring households and is strictly prohibited. Citizens are encouraged to report violations to 1199. Informantsโ€™ identities will remain confidential, and violators may face severe legal consequences, including heavy fines, imprisonment, or long-term suspension of their gas connections.

The companyโ€™s proactive approach reflects its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted gas supply during Ramadan. By maintaining pressure during critical cooking times, SSGC aims to make the holy month easier for millions of households across Karachi and southern Pakistan.
