The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a slight reduction in the LPG Price across Pakistan. The decision was confirmed through an official notification issued by the regulator.
According to the notification, the LPG Price has been reduced by Rs0.21 per kilogram. After the adjustment, the new rate has been set at Rs225.84 per kg.
Officials said the updated LPG Price will apply nationwide under the existing pricing mechanism. The change is part of routine monthly adjustments approved by the authority.
Following the reduction, the price of a standard domestic LPG cylinder has also decreased. The cost of an 11.8-kg cylinder has been reduced by Rs2.52.
After the latest revision, the new price of the domestic cylinder stands at Rs2,664.88. This minor reduction may provide some relief to households that depend on LPG for cooking.
Liquefied petroleum gas is widely used in Pakistan for both domestic and commercial purposes. It is especially important in areas where natural gas supply is limited or unavailable.
In many rural and remote regions, LPG remains the primary source of fuel for daily cooking. Restaurants, small businesses, and street food vendors also rely heavily on LPG cylinders.
OGRA periodically adjusts the LPG Price based on market calculations and international trends. These adjustments are made under a formula that considers import costs and supply factors.
Earlier this year, the authority had increased LPG rates across the country. On January 31, 2026, OGRA announced a price hike of Rs6.37 per kilogram.
After that increase, the LPG Price had reached Rs226.6 per kg. The rise also pushed the cost of a domestic LPG cylinder higher.
At that time, the price of an 11.8-kg cylinder increased by Rs75.21. This brought the cylinder price to Rs2,667.40.
The latest adjustment slightly reverses that earlier increase. Although the reduction is small, it reflects the regulator’s effort to maintain price balance.
Energy analysts say LPG prices may continue to change depending on global market conditions. Supply costs and currency fluctuations can also influence future adjustments.
Officials have confirmed that the new LPG Price will be implemented immediately. Consumers and distributors across Pakistan will follow the updated rates.

Authorities will continue monitoring market trends to determine whether further changes to the LPG pricing structure are required in the coming months.
