Bollywood actor Ahaan Panday recently revealed that he underwent a painful surgery shortly after his debut film Saiyaara. The actor described the procedure as “one of the most painful surgeries” he has ever experienced.
In an interview with Esquire India, Ahaan shared that the decision to undergo surgery came after struggling with a lingering shoulder injury. The injury, caused by a snowmobile accident years ago, led to a shoulder subluxation that affected his mobility and gym training.
“I don’t know if I should say this. I actually got a whole surgery done after the release of Saiyaara last year. And it’s one of the most painful surgeries you can do, with the longest recovery time,” he said.
Doctors had warned him that the recovery from this painful surgery would be lengthy and would temporarily halt his fitness progress. Ahaan explained that the procedure made it challenging to maintain the desired physique for his acting projects.
Despite the difficulties, Ahaan described the journey as a transformative experience. “I went from being injured, to not being able to move, to not being able to lift, to being able to lift again,” he said.
The actor emphasized that the painful surgery was necessary to fix the long-standing shoulder issue properly. He also reflected on the mental and physical patience required during recovery, highlighting how challenging it was to stay motivated while regaining strength.
Ahaan Panday made his Bollywood debut last year with Saiyaara, starring alongside Aneet Hadda. He is now preparing for his next film with director Ali Abbas Zafar. Fans have expressed support and admiration for the actor’s determination and perseverance in overcoming this health setback.
The actor’s story sheds light on the struggles many performers face behind the scenes, showing that achieving fitness and performance goals often comes with intense physical and emotional challenges.
