Who Is Mojtaba Khamenei Media Says He’s Alive and Leading Key Affairs

Iranian media has reported that Mojtaba Khamenei is alive and has fully recovered, dismissing earlier claims about his death during recent strikes in Iran.

According to local reports, Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is in good health and is actively overseeing key state matters. The reports came after foreign media outlets suggested that he had been killed alongside his father during joint military attacks.

Iranian outlets described those claims as false and misleading. They stated that Mojtaba Khamenei remains involved in important national affairs during the ongoing crisis.

The clarification follows a major escalation in regional tensions. On Saturday, Israel and the United States carried out coordinated strikes on multiple targets across Iran. The attacks reportedly involved heavy bombardment and targeted several sensitive sites.

Among the locations hit was the office linked to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iranian media also reported that the Assembly of Experts building in Qom was struck. The Assembly of Experts is the clerical body responsible for selecting and overseeing Iran’s Supreme Leader.

In addition, explosions were reported near Enghelab Square in Tehran. The strikes marked a significant development in the expanding conflict between Iran, Israel, and the United States.

Foreign reports had earlier claimed that Mojtaba Khamenei was among those killed in the attacks. However, Iranian media strongly denied these claims and insisted that he survived and recovered.

The situation remains tense as military operations and retaliatory actions continue across the region. Casualty figures and damage assessments are still being reported by various sources, though independent verification remains limited.

The conflicting reports highlight the challenge of confirming information during times of conflict. Analysts say misinformation often spreads quickly during military escalations.

For now, Iranian media maintains that Mojtaba Khamenei is alive, healthy, and continuing his responsibilities. Authorities have not released detailed public appearances or additional official statements regarding his condition beyond these reports.
