A woman arrested in Lahore after allegedly throwing acid on her former friend, Sufyan, has sparked concern in the Kahna area. The incident occurred shortly after Sufyan married another woman.
Police identified the suspect as 30-year-old Rubina. She was apprehended from Ghulam Hussain Colony in Kahna using modern tracking technology. Officials confirmed that Rubina and the victim were old friends, but tensions arose following Sufyan’s recent marriage.
According to police, Rubina invited Sufyan to her home under a false pretense. She then threw acid on him, causing severe burns to his body and damaging his clothing. Authorities said the act appeared to be motivated by revenge.
