A tragic incident in Balakot, located in Pakistan’s Mansehra district, has claimed the life of a popular social media personality. TikTok creator Javed, widely known as Mahandri, was shot dead shortly before Iftar, according to local authorities.
Police said the incident happened near a riverside area in Balakot. Mahandri had gone there with several friends to spend time together before breaking the fast. During the gathering, he reportedly made a lighthearted joke while talking with a friend.
Witnesses said the situation quickly escalated. During the exchange, one of the men present suddenly pulled out a pistol. The weapon was fired, and the bullet struck Mahandri, causing him to fall to the ground.
People at the scene rushed him to a nearby hospital. However, doctors later confirmed that Mahandri had died from his injuries.

According to preliminary reports, the alleged shooter is believed to be an active-duty police officer. Authorities said the suspect fled immediately after the incident.

The incident has also drawn reactions from political leaders. Babar Saleem Swati expressed deep sorrow over the killing.
