Funds have been deposited and can be withdrawn through authorized banking channels. Officials urged beneficiaries to complete verification steps for a smooth claim process.
Importantly, citizens can claim this relief without a Ration Card. Authorities clarified that registered beneficiaries under the Punjab Social Security scheme do not need a Ration Card to access the funds. This step is part of the government’s effort to simplify financial assistance.
Eligible individuals who received messages from the Bank of Punjab can follow an easy withdrawal process. They must bring their CNIC and registered mobile number to the bank or designated agent. A six-digit verification code is required to authenticate the transaction.
Digital banking agents such as HBL Konnect, UBL Omni, and Alfa Pay are available for withdrawals. Beneficiaries must complete biometric verification at the agent’s location. Once verified, a confirmation message will be sent to the mobile phone. Citizens are strongly advised not to share their PIN to prevent fraud.
CM Maryam Nawaz confirmed that funds have already been credited to eligible accounts. She encouraged residents to visit the nearest banking agent to withdraw their entitled relief.
Experts say the move to allow claims without a Ration Card is significant. Many low-income families face challenges in obtaining or updating Ration Cards, so this measure ensures faster access to financial support during Ramadan.
