US President Donald Trump has delivered mixed signals about the ongoing conflict with Iran. His latest remarks suggest the war may end soon, yet he also said the United States has achieved Not Enough Victory so far.
Speaking about the conflict, Trump told House Republicans that Washington and Israel are making strong progress. However, he stressed that the mission is not complete. According to him, the military campaign has delivered major results but still represents Not Enough Victory to fully conclude the operation.
Trump earlier suggested that the war could end “very soon.” At the same time, he clarified that the conflict would not end within the current week. His comments came as Israeli forces reportedly launched new strikes in Tehran, signaling further escalation.
The US president also issued strong warnings to Iran’s leadership. He said individuals attempting to take power in Iran could face the same fate as previous leaders. Trump claimed that emerging leadership figures have already been targeted during the conflict.
Trump also revealed details about what he described as a large joint military campaign by the United States and Israel. According to him, US forces have struck around 5,000 Iranian targets since the conflict began.
These strikes reportedly damaged military bases, defense systems, and other strategic infrastructure. Trump said the attacks have seriously weakened Iran’s defense capabilities.
He also claimed that 51 Iranian naval vessels were destroyed during the operations. Many of these ships, he said, are now lying at the bottom of the sea. Trump added that Iran’s drone and missile systems have been largely eliminated.
Despite these claims, the president insisted the results still represent Not Enough Victory to declare the mission fully successful. He emphasized that the operation must continue until all strategic goals are achieved.
Trump described the military campaign, known as Operation Epic Fury, as necessary to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. He warned that Iran could have built a nuclear weapon within two weeks without intervention.
The president also compared the campaign to an earlier mission called Midnight Hammer, saying the current operation is even more powerful.
During his remarks, Trump praised the strength of the US military. He said the armed forces remain the most capable and powerful in the world.
Trump also criticized former President Joe Biden over the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. He described the withdrawal as a humiliating moment for the country.
Despite ongoing tensions, Trump insisted the United States has regained global respect. He said his administration is focused on strengthening American power and influence worldwide.
