The provincial governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab have announced that salaries and pensions for government employees will be paid in advance ahead of Eidul Fitr 2026.
The Finance Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued an official notification confirming that full salaries and pensions for March will be disbursed before the festival. Employees will receive their payments on March 16 instead of the usual April 1, ensuring timely financial support for the celebrations.
Similarly, Punjab’s Finance Department also confirmed that all Muslim government employees will get their salaries on March 16, 2026. Pensioners will receive their payments on the same date, providing financial relief ahead of Eid.
The notifications aim to ease the financial burden on civil servants and retired officials during the festive period. Government officials stated that advance payments will help employees manage expenses related to celebrations and family needs.
The Punjab notification reads: “Governor of the Punjab is pleased to approve disbursement of pay & allowances and pension for the month of March 2026, in advance on 16th March 2026 on account of Eidul Fitr to Government employees and pensioners, belonging to the Muslim Community.”
