The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken new steps to resolve problems faced by beneficiaries under the Relief Package for Ramadan 2026. The measures follow directives from Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
According to the Social Welfare Department, special redressal committees have been formed across the province. These committees will handle complaints related to the Relief Package and ensure that eligible people receive their financial assistance.
Officials said beneficiaries experiencing issues should contact their local assistant commissioner offices. Each assistant commissioner will serve as the chairperson of the complaint committee in their area.
Many problems reported so far involve incorrect or incomplete information. Some applicants entered wrong CNIC numbers or incorrect mobile details during registration. Authorities said individuals facing such issues must visit the assistant commissionerโs office for verification.
After verification, the case will be forwarded to the deputy commissioner for correction. This process aims to ensure that qualified beneficiaries do not miss out on the Relief Package assistance.
Authorities also clarified that payments cannot be issued to blocked CNIC numbers. If a CNIC remains blocked, the allocated funds will be returned to the Director of Social Welfare.
Special arrangements have also been introduced for elderly or disabled beneficiaries. Some individuals face fingerprint verification issues during the payment process. In such cases, applicants must obtain a certificate from the National Database and Registration Authority confirming biometric problems.
Applicants must also provide a Family Registration Certificate (FRC). Once verified, the payment under the Relief Package can be transferred to a close relative.
Officials also explained procedures for cases where the registered beneficiary has passed away. Family members must submit a death certificate and a written application to the assistant commissionerโs office. After verification, the financial assistance will be transferred to an eligible relative listed in the FRC.
Authorities have urged all beneficiaries facing problems to contact the nearest assistant commissioner office immediately. Officials say these measures aim to ensure transparency and timely distribution under the Relief Package.
The government hopes these steps will help resolve complaints quickly and allow deserving families to receive their Ramadan financial support without delay.
