Pakistan Launches Strikes As Taliban Targets Along Border

Pakistan carried out precision strikes against militant positions across the border as part of Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq. Officials said the action focused on key Taliban Targets linked to cross-border attacks on Pakistani civilians.

The government said the operation aimed to dismantle militant infrastructure used for planning and supporting attacks. Authorities stressed that the strikes were carefully planned to avoid civilian casualties.

Pakistan strongly rejected claims made by Afghan Taliban authorities about the targets. Taliban officials alleged that the strikes hit a drug rehabilitation facility. However, Islamabad dismissed the claim and called it misinformation.

According to the Information Ministry, the strikes were conducted on the night of March 16. The operation focused on several Taliban Targets in Kabul and Nangarhar. These sites were described as military positions and support facilities.

Officials said the targeted locations stored technical equipment and ammunition. These resources were allegedly used for cross-border operations against Pakistan. The ministry stated that powerful explosions reported after the strikes were caused by ammunition stored at the sites.

Authorities said this evidence contradicts the Talibanโ€™s claim about the facility being a rehabilitation center. The government accused the Taliban of spreading false information to influence public opinion.

Officials added that the operation targeted infrastructure connected to Afghan Taliban fighters and Fitna al-Khawarij. The goal was to disrupt networks responsible for attacks along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Security sources also reported action in the Bajaur sector. Pakistani forces reportedly destroyed several posts believed to be Taliban Targets near the frontier. Guided missiles were used to strike the positions during the operation.

Military officials described the strikes as part of a wider response to ongoing security threats. They said Pakistan will continue its operations until the objectives of Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq are achieved.

The latest development has increased tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Both countries share a long and sensitive border where security issues often arise.

Amid the growing tensions, China has called for restraint from both sides. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian urged both countries to avoid further escalation.

He said the priority should be preventing the conflict from worsening. He also encouraged both sides to return to dialogue and resolve issues through negotiations.

Observers say the situation remains sensitive as regional stability depends on cooperation between neighboring countries. The coming days may determine how the situation develops along the border.
