Russia Offers Discounted Oil to Pakistan If Approach Is Made Envoy

Russia has expressed its willingness to supply Oil to Pakistan at discounted rates if a formal request is made. The statement was shared by Russian Ambassador Albert P Khorev during a press conference in Islamabad.

The envoy said that Russia is ready to expand energy cooperation with Pakistan. He explained that Pakistan can benefit from the current global energy situation by purchasing Oil from Russia at lower prices. However, he noted that, so far, Pakistan has not officially approached Russia for any Oil deal.

According to Khorev, the energy sector remains a key area of cooperation between the two countries. He added that stronger collaboration in Oil and other energy resources can help Pakistan manage rising fuel costs. He also emphasized that Russia is open to discussions and future agreements in this sector.

The ambassador’s remarks come at a time when global Oil prices remain volatile due to ongoing geopolitical tensions. Many countries are seeking affordable energy sources to reduce economic pressure. In this context, discounted Russian Oil could provide relief to Pakistan’s economy if negotiations move forward.

Speaking about regional developments, Khorev said Russia maintains long-standing military and technical ties with Iran. He described the current situation in the Middle East as complex and uncertain. He added that recent developments have increased tensions across the region.

Khorev also commented on the role of the United States, stating that recent actions have surprised many countries. He said it is difficult to predict how long the current crisis will continue. He stressed the importance of resolving conflicts through dialogue rather than force.

The ambassador strongly condemned an attack on a girls’ school in Iran that reportedly killed many children. He called the incident unacceptable and urged all parties to act responsibly. He emphasized that disputes should be resolved through diplomatic means in line with the United Nations Charter.

He further stated that the use of force by the United States and Israel against Iran has worsened the situation. According to him, such actions risk increasing instability in the region and creating further divisions.
