Punjab Launches Maryam Nawaz Eidi Scheme with Rs. 5,000 Gift

The Punjab government has introduced a new welfare initiative called the Eidi Scheme ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. The program, officially named the “Maryam Nawaz Eidi Scheme,” offers financial assistance of Rs. 5,000 to eligible residents across the province.

The main goal of the Eidi Scheme is to support families during the festive season. With rising living costs, many households face difficulty managing expenses. The government aims to ease this burden by providing direct cash support for Eid shopping and basic needs.

According to official details, residents of Punjab aged 12 years or older can apply for the Eidi Scheme. Applicants must meet certain requirements to qualify. Individuals aged 18 or above need a valid CNIC, while those between 12 and 17 must provide a B-Form.

In addition to identification documents, applicants must also have an active mobile wallet account. The funds will be transferred through Easypaisa or JazzCash. This method ensures quick and transparent delivery of financial aid.

Officials say the Eidi Scheme is designed to reach a large number of people. It focuses on helping low- and middle-income families who need extra support during Eid. The direct cash transfer system reduces delays and ensures that beneficiaries receive the amount without complications.

The government has encouraged citizens to apply as soon as possible. Authorities are working to make the process simple and accessible. Clear guidelines have been issued to help applicants complete their registration smoothly.

This initiative reflects the Punjab government’s efforts to provide relief during important occasions. By launching the Eidi Scheme, the administration aims to promote financial inclusion and support vulnerable groups.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a time of celebration, shopping, and family gatherings. The additional Rs. 5,000 can help families purchase clothes, food, and gifts for their loved ones. Many residents have welcomed the move, calling it timely and helpful.
