23 Witnesses Testify in Sana Yousaf Case, State Counsel Now On Board

23 Witnesses Testify in Sana Yousaf Case, State Counsel Now On Board

The hearing in the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousaf has shown further progress. So far, statements from 23 witnesses have been recorded in court.

The case was heard by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka. The proceedings focused on witness statements and trial delays.

During the hearing, Prosecutor Raja Naveed Hussain Kyani raised concerns about slow progress. He informed the court that the defence had not properly cross-examined witnesses in earlier hearings.

The prosecutor added that limited cross-examination took place in the last session. This was done under the directions of the High Court. He stressed that delays were affecting the pace of the trial.

Due to the absence of the defence lawyer, the court appointed a state counsel to represent the accused. Tariq Khan was assigned as the state counsel for the case.

During the latest proceedings, the state counsel carried out the cross-examination of one witness. This step helped move the case forward despite earlier delays.

In addition, the statement of Sana Yousafโ€™s father was recorded before the court. His testimony is considered important for the case.

The prosecution informed the judge that statements from 23 witnesses have now been completed. More witnesses are expected to appear in upcoming hearings.

Officials said the case is progressing steadily, although some delays remain. The court is trying to ensure that all legal procedures are followed properly.

At the end of the session, the court adjourned the case until March 18, 2026. The next hearing will continue with further witness statements and cross-examinations.

The appointment of a state counsel ensured that the hearing continued without interruption. This step helped maintain the legal process and avoid further delays.

Overall, the case is moving ahead as the court reviews evidence and testimonies step by step.
