Qatarโs Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared Iranian military and security attachรฉs persona non grata, giving them 24 hours to leave the country. This move follows a recent Ras Laffan Missile strike on Qatarโs northern coast.
The missile hit the Ras Laffan Industrial City, home to Qatarโs largest gas plant. The strike caused significant damage and sparked massive fires. Qatar Energy confirmed that emergency teams acted immediately to contain the blaze. No casualties have been reported so far.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Iran of following โextremist policiesโ that endanger regional stability. โQatar reserves the right to respond and will take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and citizens,โ the statement said.
Qatarโs Ministry of Defense confirmed that Iran fired five missiles. Four of them struck the Ras Laffan Industrial City. The Ministry of Interior reported that the fires have been contained and no lives were lost in the attack.
Saudi Arabia was also affected by the attack. Debris from intercepted missiles injured four people in Riyadh and Al-Kharj. The Saudi Ministry of Defense said its missile defense systems successfully intercepted four ballistic missiles fired toward the capital. Alerts for these areas have now been lifted.
The Ras Laffan Missile attack marks one of the most severe provocations in the Gulf in recent years. Experts say targeting a major energy hub could have serious economic and security consequences for the region.
