The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has released its supply schedule for Eidul Fitr 2026 holidays. The announcement aims to ensure residents and businesses have access to gas during the festival.
According to the company, gas will be available on Chand Raat (the night before Eid) and throughout the three days of Eid. However, supply will be suspended daily from midnight to 6 am.
SSGC confirmed that gas will flow continuously from Chand Raat until midnight on the first day of Eid. On the second and third days, the supply schedule allows gas availability from 6 am to midnight each day. The company said these arrangements are meant to balance festival needs with safety and operational requirements.
The announcement comes ahead of Eid, which will be observed in Pakistan on March 21. The date was confirmed after the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee reported that the Shawwal moon was not sighted on Thursday.
The committee’s meeting in Islamabad was chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad. Representatives from the Pakistan Meteorological Department and other officials were present to review and verify moon sighting reports.
Similar sessions were conducted across the country. In Lahore, the provincial committee convened at the Auqaf building, while zonal committees met in Quetta, Karachi, and Peshawar to collect moon sighting data.
The SSGC spokesperson emphasized that the supply schedule is designed to meet both residential and commercial needs during the festival. Customers are advised to plan their gas usage according to the announced timings.
The company also encouraged users to follow safety guidelines while using gas appliances during Eid. SSGC said it will monitor gas flow closely to minimize any disruptions.
With this announcement, households and businesses can prepare for Eid celebrations knowing the planned timings for gas availability. The company reassured the public that necessary measures are in place to provide uninterrupted service during key hours of the holiday.
