Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, and Sukkur districts are expected to experience rain, wind, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms from April 2 to 4, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The PMD also predicts rainfall across Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir starting today. In Balochistan, districts including Panjgur, Turbat, Kech, Awaran, Makran Coast, and Lasbella may receive heavy rain, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain and thunderstorms are forecast in Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Kalam, with snowfall expected in mountainous areas. Punjab and Islamabad are also likely to see rain with strong winds and thunderstorms. Cities including Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Sargodha may get rainfall, while Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding areas could experience heavy rain.
Rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, with snowfall in the higher mountains. Certain areas may also witness hailstorms and localized heavy rain.
The weather department warned that daytime temperatures will drop across the country, and the forecast period could be extended depending on evolving weather conditions. Residents are advised to take precautions, particularly in flood-prone and mountainous areas.
