Petrol Pump Fined Rs11 Million For Fuel Adulteration And Hoarding

Petrol Pump Fined Rs11 Million For Fuel Adulteration And Hoarding

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has intensified action against illegal fuel practices across the country. A major enforcement operation led to a Petrol pump fined in Muzaffargarh after serious violations were uncovered.

Officials confirmed that the owner of Rana Filling Station was penalized Rs11 million. The Petrol pump fined action came after reports of fuel adulteration and illegal storage were highlighted.

According to details, OGRA launched a crackdown on petrol mixing and unauthorized hoarding. The operation targeted facilities suspected of selling contaminated fuel to consumers.

A raid was conducted after media reports exposed illegal oil storage at the site. During the inspection, authorities found more than 135,000 litres of petrol and diesel stored without a valid licence.

Laboratory tests later confirmed that the fuel contained harmful chemical substances. These adulterants were found in both petrol and diesel samples collected from the site.

Investigators also revealed that petroleum products were being mixed with chemicals. The altered fuel was then distributed to different areas for commercial use. This led to the Petrol pump fined decision by OGRA authorities.

Following the findings, OGRA cancelled the No Objection Certificate (NOC) of the petrol pump. Officials also ordered the seizure of machinery, storage tanks, and other equipment used in the operation.

The district administration has been instructed to take custody of all seized petroleum products. Authorities are ensuring that the contaminated fuel does not re-enter the market.

OGRA further stated that the petrol pump was operating under a private oil company. As a result, action will also be taken against the company involved in the supply chain.

Officials emphasized that no tolerance will be shown for illegal practices. They warned that any entity involved in fuel adulteration will face strict penalties. The repeated Petrol pump fined cases highlight ongoing regulatory enforcement efforts.

The authority said such actions are necessary to protect consumers and prevent damage to vehicles caused by poor-quality fuel.
