Rajab Butt To Face Indictment in Gang Rape Case On April 22

A session court in Lahore has set a date for the indictment in a high-profile gang rape case involving YouTuber Rajab Butt and his associates. The court proceedings are moving toward formal charge framing against all accused.

Additional Sessions Judge Yasir Arfat distributed copies of the challan among the accused persons. The court then scheduled April 22 for the framing of charges. The gang rape case has drawn significant public attention due to the involvement of a social media figure.

The court has summoned Rajab Butt along with co-accused Jahangir, Jawad Ali, and Abdur Rehman. All accused are required to appear for the next hearing. The gang rape case will formally proceed to the charge stage on the given date.

Meanwhile, the petitioner has raised concerns about the investigation process. It was claimed that Nawab Town police registered the case based on incorrect facts. The petitioner has requested the court to confirm interim bail during the proceedings.

The alleged victim stated that she was reportedly lured to a house by the accused. She further claimed that she was subjected to sexual assault. These allegations form the basis of the ongoing gang rape case under judicial review.

In a separate development, a video involving Rajabโ€™s son, Kivan Sultan, circulated widely on social media. The clip triggered public debate and online reactions. His wife, Eman Fatima, strongly criticized the viral content.

In her Instagram statement, Eman Fatima said the video was misrepresented online. She claimed it was not an emotional spontaneous moment. Instead, she alleged it was pre-planned, recorded, and later leaked.

She further stated that close friends and associates were involved in producing the content. According to her, the child was included without proper consent. She described the situation as deeply upsetting and irresponsible.

Eman Fatima also said private family moments should not be used for online attention. She stressed that such content sharing is misleading and harmful. Her remarks have added another layer of controversy to the ongoing discussion.

Court proceedings in the gang rape case are expected to continue on April 22. Authorities will move forward with charge framing and further legal steps. The case remains under judicial consideration as investigations continue.
