Pakistan Plans Investor-Friendly Reforms with Zero-Tax Policy for Hospitality Sector

Pakistan is preparing major reforms to boost investment in the hospitality sector. The government is focusing on urban development and modern infrastructure. A key highlight of the plan is the proposed Zero-Tax Policy to attract investors.

A high-level meeting was held at the Capital Development Authority. It was chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The meeting discussed transforming Islamabad into a modern model city. Officials reviewed ongoing and upcoming development projects.

The government aims to provide international-standard facilities in the capital. These include modern infrastructure and better recreational spaces. Authorities believe these changes will improve tourism and business activity.

One major decision discussed was the construction of luxury five-star hotels. These projects will be developed in partnership with global companies. Joint ventures are expected to bring international investment into the country.

Officials also reviewed a hospitality project linked with the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution. This project is part of a broader plan to expand tourism and improve services. The proposed Zero-Tax Policy is expected to play a key role in attracting foreign investors.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed authorities to introduce the Zero-Tax Policy for hotels in Islamabad. The goal is to encourage both local and international investment in the hospitality sector. The policy is seen as a major incentive for large-scale development.

The government is also planning a detailed land and property survey in Islamabad. The Survey of Pakistan will conduct this exercise. Officials say it will improve urban planning and real estate management.

In addition, a dedicated marketing team will be appointed for future property auctions. This step aims to ensure transparency and fair competition. It will also help increase investor confidence in government projects.

Officials believe the Zero-Tax Policy will strengthen Islamabad’s position as an investment hub. It is expected to attract global hotel chains and tourism developers.

Overall, the reforms reflect a strong push toward economic growth. The Zero-Tax Policy remains a central part of the strategy to transform the hospitality sector and modernize the capital city.
