Karachi Police Bust Drug Gang Supplying Narcotics To Universities And Colleges

Karachi Police, in coordination with security agencies, have arrested three suspects linked to a drug trafficking network. The group was involved in smuggling drugs from Balochistan to Karachi.

Officials confirmed that the network was actively supplying narcotics in urban areas. The drugs were reportedly sold in educational institutions, including colleges and universities.

According to SHO Gardens Police Station Hanif Sial, one suspect named Behroze played a key role. He was involved in transporting cannabis and other illegal substances. Police said the group was supplying narcotics for distribution in student areas.

Authorities recovered drugs worth approximately Rs3 to Rs3.5 million during the operation. The seizure was made after a targeted joint raid with security agencies. Investigators believe the network had been operating across provincial borders.

Two additional suspects are still at large. Officials say both individuals are students from different educational institutions. One is linked to Benazir University, while the other is from KMC College.

Police stated that the suspects were part of a wider network. This network was involved in supplying narcotics to young people in Karachi. Efforts are ongoing to track and arrest the remaining individuals.

Authorities have intensified surveillance in educational zones. They aim to stop drug distribution targeting students.
Investigators are also identifying supply routes from Balochistan.

In a separate operation earlier, the Anti-Narcotics Force also made a major seizure. Officials intercepted a large shipment at Karachi Gateway Terminal Limited. The consignment was being sent abroad in disguise.

The ANF recovered 200 kilograms of methamphetamine, also known as โ€œice.โ€ The drugs were hidden inside spice packets in a shipment bound for Dubai. The estimated value of the seizure was over Rs2 billion.

Officials said traffickers are using creative methods for supplying narcotics. They are concealing drugs inside everyday goods to avoid detection. Security agencies are now tightening inspection procedures at ports.

Authorities have pledged continued action against drug networks. They stressed that supplying narcotics to students is a serious concern. Operations will continue to dismantle such illegal groups across the region.
