Sanam Javed Shifted to Jinnah Hospital After Health Condition Worsens

PTI leader Sanam Javed has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital in Lahore after her health reportedly worsened in Kot Lakhpat Jail. Officials said she was moved for emergency medical treatment after developing health complications.

According to her husband, Sanam Javed was facing eye and stomach-related problems. He stated that her condition required immediate medical attention, leading to her transfer from jail to the hospital.

Prison sources said she initially received medical assistance at the jail hospital after feeling unwell. However, doctors later decided to shift her to Jinnah Hospital when her health condition reportedly deteriorated further.

Hospital sources confirmed that Sanam Javed is currently undergoing emergency treatment. Medical teams have been placed on alert to monitor her condition and provide necessary care.

Sources added that she has been kept in isolation during treatment. An ultrasound examination is also being conducted as part of her medical assessment. Doctors are continuing tests to determine the exact nature of her illness.

Professor Tahir Bashir’s medical team is reportedly supervising her check-up and treatment process at Jinnah Hospital. Hospital officials have not publicly shared complete details regarding her health condition so far.

Her husband said the family has not received full information about her illness. He repeated that she was transferred due to serious eye and stomach-related complaints that required specialized treatment outside the jail facility.

Sanam Javed is currently imprisoned in Kot Lakhpat Jail in connection with the May 9 case. She was sentenced to five years in prison in relation to the case earlier this year.

The development has drawn attention on social media, where supporters and political workers have expressed concern about her health condition. Several users called for transparency regarding her medical treatment and updates about her recovery.

Legal and political observers say medical transfers of prisoners are carried out when treatment facilities inside prisons are considered insufficient for certain conditions. Authorities often shift inmates to government hospitals for emergency or specialized care.

Officials have not yet announced how long she will remain under treatment at Jinnah Hospital. Further updates are expected after doctors complete her medical examinations and issue reports about her condition.
