Pakistan ‘Fully Ready’ for War Response, PM Says in Key Address at Quetta Staff College

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has warned that Pakistan will give a “crushing response” to any future aggression against the country. He made these remarks during a visit to Quetta, where he addressed officers and faculty members at the Command and Staff College.

The prime minister praised the armed forces for their professionalism and sacrifices. He called their recent achievements a “historic victory” and said the success reflected the unity and resilience of Pakistan. He also paid tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan, saying their sacrifices continue to strengthen the nation during difficult times.

During his speech, Shehbaz Sharif described the recent developments as a “Battle for Truth.” He said the moment showed the military strength and determination of Pakistan. He also appreciated the leadership of Syed Asim Munir, crediting him for firm and decisive leadership during a sensitive period.

The prime minister stated that Pakistan responded in a “measured and responsible” manner to what he called unprovoked aggression from India. He added that the response received international recognition and appreciation. At the same time, he stressed that Pakistan remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and national interests.

Shehbaz Sharif also revealed that Operation “Ghazab-ul-Haq” is continuing with full commitment. He said security efforts are focused on maintaining stability and eliminating threats to the country.

The visit highlighted close coordination between civilian and military leadership. Senior federal ministers, including officials from the defence, interior, and information ministries, accompanied the prime minister. The chief minister of Balochistan was also present during the visit.

Upon his arrival in Quetta, the prime minister was received by Field Marshal Asim Munir. The meeting reflected strong cooperation between the government and military leadership during a time of regional security concerns.

Earlier, Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Quetta Garrison, where he reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to eliminating terrorism. He also emphasized the importance of adapting to modern warfare challenges.

Addressing officers at the college, Asim Munir said modern warfare now requires the use of emerging technologies and stronger coordination between all branches of the armed forces.
