Iran Warns of “Surprises” Amid Rising US Tensions

Iran has issued a strong response to recent US statements, escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington. In its latest remarks, Iran warns that any renewed conflict could bring unexpected consequences.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that future confrontation would not resemble past conflicts. He suggested that Iran’s military has gained experience and capabilities that could change the outcome of any new war.

In a social media post, Araghchi stated that returning to war would include “many more surprises.” He emphasized that Iran has learned lessons from previous military engagements.

The statement is being seen as a direct response to recent US warnings over Iran’s nuclear programme. US officials have repeatedly said that Iran must not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.

President Donald Trump recently warned that Iran has a limited timeframe to reach a nuclear agreement. He also suggested that military action could follow if negotiations fail.

Amid this pressure, Iran warns that any aggressive move would be met with a strong and unexpected response. Iranian officials insist their armed forces are prepared for all possible scenarios.

Araghchi also referred to past conflicts, claiming that Iranian forces have already demonstrated military strength. He pointed to incidents where advanced aircraft were reportedly shot down during earlier confrontations.

The diplomatic tension has increased after reports that the US had previously considered military strikes on Iran. However, those plans were reportedly delayed following requests from regional allies.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar were among the countries that urged restraint, according to US statements. This led to a temporary pause in any planned military escalation.

Despite this, the situation remains highly sensitive. Officials from both sides continue to exchange warnings through public statements and diplomatic channels.

Observers say that repeated messaging from both Washington and Tehran is increasing uncertainty in the region. As tensions rise, Iran warns that any miscalculation could lead to a wider conflict.

For now, the focus remains on whether diplomatic efforts can prevent further escalation. However, both sides continue to maintain firm positions on key issues, especially nuclear concerns.
