Saudi Arabia has finalized extensive defence and security arrangements to ensure the safety of millions of pilgrims expected to perform Hajj this year. Authorities have strengthened surveillance and protection measures around the holy sites as the annual pilgrimage season approaches.
According to reports, Saudi officials completed comprehensive defence preparations aimed at protecting every pilgrim arriving in the Kingdom for Hajj. The latest security measures are part of broader efforts to maintain safety, stability, and crowd management during one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
The Saudi Ministry of Defence confirmed that special air surveillance systems have been activated over the holy sites in Makkah and surrounding areas. Security monitoring has been significantly increased to protect pilgrims during all stages of the pilgrimage.
Officials also released a video showing the installation and deployment of advanced defence systems near important religious locations. The footage highlighted various security operations designed to strengthen protection during the Hajj season.
Authorities stated that a strong air defence barrier has now been established around the Grand Mosque in Makkah. The measures are intended to provide maximum security for every pilgrim visiting the holy city during the days of Hajj.
Saudi Arabia annually hosts millions of Muslims from around the world who travel to perform the religious obligation. Managing the safety and movement of such large crowds requires extensive planning and coordination between multiple government institutions.
Officials said the Kingdom has continued improving security systems, emergency response capabilities, and surveillance technologies in recent years. Special teams have also been assigned to monitor crowd flow and respond quickly to any emergency situation involving pilgrims.
In addition to defence arrangements, Saudi authorities are also focusing on healthcare, transportation, and accommodation facilities for pilgrims. Hospitals, emergency units, and medical teams have reportedly been placed on high alert during the Hajj season.
Security personnel have also been deployed in large numbers across Makkah, Madinah, Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. Officials stated that integrated operations are being carried out to ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage experience for every pilgrim.
Saudi authorities emphasized that protecting pilgrims remains one of the Kingdom’s top priorities during Hajj. Advanced monitoring systems and aerial surveillance are expected to remain active throughout the pilgrimage period.
Experts believe the latest arrangements reflect Saudi Arabia’s continued investment in Hajj security and infrastructure. The Kingdom has introduced several technological improvements in recent years to improve crowd management and public safety during major religious gatherings.
