The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its updated player rankings, with Abrar Ahmed moving up seven places to secure fourth position among ODI bowlers. The impressive rise reflects his recent performances and growing importance in Pakistan’s bowling attack.

The latest rankings continue to be led by Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan, who remains at the top of the ODI bowling chart. England fast bowler Jofra Archer occupies second place, while South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj is ranked third. With his latest climb, Abrar Ahmed now joins some of the world’s leading bowlers in the top four.

Pakistan also received positive news in the bowling rankings through fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi. He improved his position by four places and is now ranked 13th in the ODI bowling standings.

In the ODI batting rankings, New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell continues to hold the number one position. India’s Virat Kohli remains second, while Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran occupies third place.

Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam is currently ranked sixth among ODI batters. Although he remains Pakistan’s highest-ranked batter, the latest update saw Salman Ali Agha drop five places to 14th position. India’s Shubman Gill is ranked fifth in the batting rankings.

The rise of Abrar Ahmed is one of the most notable developments in the latest ICC rankings update. The mystery spinner has continued to impress with his ability to take wickets and control the game during crucial stages of matches.

Meanwhile, the all-rounders’ rankings are headed by Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai. Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza is placed second, while Afghanistan veteran Mohammad Nabi holds third place.
