Hina Pervaiz Butt Opposes Drama On Drug Trafficker’s Life

Hina Pervaiz Butt Opposes Drama On Drug Trafficker’s Life

Punjab Women Protection Authority (PWPA) Chairperson Hina Pervaiz Butt has strongly opposes drama reports based on the life of alleged drug trafficker Anmol alias “Pinky.” She criticized the idea of turning such a controversial figure into a television story.

In a statement shared on social media, Hina Pervaiz Butt said she strongly opposes drama content that portrays Pinky as a central character. She called it a harmful and irresponsible move driven by commercial interest.

She stated that if such a project is being planned, it would be deeply shameful. She added that Pinky is not a role model and should not be glorified through media content.

Hina Pervaiz Butt further said she opposes drama productions that normalize criminal figures. She emphasized that such portrayals send the wrong message to society.

She also highlighted the role of women who contribute positively in different sectors. According to her, such stories damage the image of those women who serve society with dignity.

“This is an insult to hardworking and responsible women,” she said. She questioned how criminals are being turned into entertainment content for ratings and profit.

Authorities had earlier arrested Anmol alias Pinky in May. The arrest took place during a joint raid by police and a civilian intelligence agency.

Officials recovered narcotics and illegal weapons during the operation. Investigators later linked her to a large drug trafficking network operating in major cities.

Law enforcement agencies reported that the network allegedly used fake identities and digital payment systems. Delivery riders were reportedly used to distribute drugs in urban areas.

The Counter Terrorism Department also carried out an inquiry into the case. It recommended action against two officers over alleged links with the accused.

Hina Pervaiz Butt reiterated that she opposes drama content that glorifies criminal activity. She stressed the need for responsible storytelling in media.

Her statement has sparked discussion on social media regarding the ethical limits of dramatizing real criminal cases.
