The official figures show that the maximum price of a 20kg flour bag has reached Rs. 2,800 nationwide. Karachi has emerged as the most expensive city, where consumers are purchasing flour at this record-high rate.
The rising Flour Prices have become a growing concern for citizens already dealing with inflation and increasing living costs. Essential food items remain under close observation as families struggle to manage daily expenses.
Among other major cities, Peshawar has recorded flour prices of up to Rs. 2,750 for a 20kg bag. In Islamabad, the same quantity is being sold for Rs. 2,733. Rawalpindi follows closely, with prices reaching Rs. 2,707.
Data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics also indicates that Quetta and Bannu have reported similar Flour Prices, with a 20kg flour bag costing Rs. 2,700 in both cities.
Several other cities have comparatively lower rates. In Hyderabad, flour is being sold for Rs. 2,600 per 20kg bag. Khuzdar and Larkana have both recorded prices of Rs. 2,400. Faisalabad residents are paying Rs. 2,350, while Gujranwala has reported prices of Rs. 2,333.
