Commander-in-Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Rodolphe Haykal, visited Pakistan Army Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday. The official visits focused on defence cooperation and regional security.
During his visits, General Haykal met Pakistanโs Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Both sides held detailed discussions on military collaboration and shared security challenges.
According to ISPR, the visiting military chief was given a Guard of Honour upon arrival at GHQ. A smartly turned-out tri-services contingent presented the ceremonial welcome.
The gesture highlighted the importance Pakistan places on its defence relations with Lebanon. Officials said the meeting aimed to strengthen long-term military ties.
In the latest round of high-level visits, both sides exchanged views on regional security dynamics. They also discussed evolving defence challenges in different parts of the region.
