Lahore – Dr. Yasmin Rashid, a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and former provincial health minister, has been transferred to a hospital in Lahore due to a decline in her health while in custody.
Rashid, who has been arrested by the police for her alleged involvement in the attack on the Lahore Corps Commander’s residence during the May 9 riots that followed the arrest of PTI chairman Imran Khan in a corruption case, was urgently taken to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC).

After undergoing an echocardiography test and a medical examination, the former provincial minister was returned to jail as her test results were deemed satisfactory.
