A disturbing incident has been reported from Jacobabad, where a woman gave birth to a Baby Girl inside a Qingqi rickshaw while being transported to a private hospital.
According to the family, the woman was unable to receive timely medical treatment at a government health facility despite remaining admitted there for several days.
The woman’s husband said his wife, identified as Malkan, had been admitted to Jacobabad Institute of Medical Sciences (JIMS) Hospital for three days. He claimed she was experiencing severe pain during that period.
According to him, the family repeatedly requested medical attention for her condition. However, he alleged that proper treatment was not provided despite their efforts.
The husband further stated that hospital staff asked the family to arrange blood for the patient. He said the family provided three bottles of blood as requested.
Despite fulfilling the requirement, the family remained dissatisfied with the treatment they received. The husband also accused hospital staff of behaving in an insensitive manner during the difficult situation.
He alleged that the family was eventually asked to take the woman out of the hospital despite her medical condition. Concerned about her health, relatives decided to shift her to a private hospital where they hoped she would receive immediate care.
However, the situation took an unexpected turn during the journey.
Before reaching the private medical facility, the woman went into labor while traveling in a Qingqi rickshaw. With no time to reach the hospital, she gave birth to a Baby Girl inside the vehicle.
The incident quickly drew attention in the area and raised concerns about healthcare services and emergency treatment facilities.
Family members said the birth occurred while they were rushing to secure better medical care. Despite the difficult circumstances, the Baby Girl was delivered during the journey.
The allegations made by the family have sparked questions about the quality of care provided at public hospitals and the handling of patients requiring urgent medical attention.
Health authorities have not yet publicly responded to the claims made by the husband. An official investigation may be required to determine the facts surrounding the incident and assess whether any negligence occurred.
The case has highlighted the challenges some families face when seeking timely healthcare services. It has also renewed discussions about improving emergency maternal care and ensuring patients receive prompt treatment.
Local residents have expressed concern over the incident, while many have called for a thorough review of the circumstances that led to a woman giving birth to a Baby Girl inside a Qingqi rickshaw instead of a medical facility.
