‘Same to Same’ Fans Compare Emmad Irfani to Imran Khan, Suggest Him for Biopic Role

Pakistani actor Emmad Irfani has become the center of attention on social media after sharing new pictures from his London trip. Fans noticed his resemblance to former Prime Minister and cricket legend Imran Khan.

The pictures were posted on Instagram and quickly gained popularity. Many users commented that Emmad Irfani looked similar to Imran Khan, especially because of his appearance and style inspired by the former cricketer’s 1990s era.

Several fans suggested that he would be a suitable choice to play Imran Khan in a possible biopic. Comments included phrases such as “Khan Sahib” and “perfect for IK biopic.” Some users even said they initially thought the pictures featured Imran Khan himself.

The actor’s appearance sparked discussions among fans about his potential to portray the cricket icon on screen. However, no official announcement has been made regarding any Imran Khan biographical project featuring him.

Emmad Irfani started his professional journey as a fashion model in 2000. He worked with several leading designers, including HSY, Khaadi, and Nomi Ansari, before entering the television industry.

He made his acting debut in 2013 with a supporting role in the drama serial Aasmanon Pay Likha aired on Geo TV. In 2014, he gained recognition after playing the lead role of Malik Mansoor in Saya-e-Dewar Bhi Nahi.

Over the years, the actor appeared in several popular dramas, including Mah-e-Tamaam, Cheekh, Jalan, and Titli. His performance in the 2024 hit drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum alongside Fahad Mustafa and Hania Aamir became one of the highlights of his career.

Imran Khan remains one of Pakistan’s most recognized sports personalities. He represented Pakistan in international cricket from 1971 to 1992 and captained the national team that won the 1992 Cricket World Cup.

Under his leadership, Pakistan defeated England in the final held in Melbourne and secured its first World Cup title. During his cricket career, he scored more than 3,800 Test runs and took over 360 wickets.

After retiring from cricket, Imran Khan entered public life. He founded the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Lahore in 1994 and established Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 1996.

He later became Prime Minister of Pakistan in 2018 and served until April 2022 after losing a no-confidence vote. The former prime minister has remained in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, since August 2023.
