ISLAMABAD – Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced a salary bonus for officials and staff members who performed duties during the recently concluded budget session at Parliament House.
According to reports, eligible employees from various departments will receive a salary bonus equal to six basic salaries. The announcement was made in recognition of their efforts and commitment during the budget process.
The finance minister praised the staff for their dedication and hard work. He said their contribution played a key role in ensuring the successful completion of budget-related activities and parliamentary proceedings.
Aurangzeb also highlighted an important milestone achieved during the financial year. He stated that audit reports related to the federal government were presented before Parliament within the relevant financial year for the first time in the country’s history. He described the development as a significant achievement in improving financial governance and accountability.
The approval process for the federal budget was completed successfully, with officials working extensively throughout the session. The announced salary bonus is intended to acknowledge the extra responsibilities handled by staff members during this demanding period.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the efforts of the government’s economic team. He commended their work in preparing a budget that included relief measures for citizens, salaried individuals, and the business community.
The prime minister specifically praised Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, the Finance Secretary, and the chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue for their contributions.
Shehbaz Sharif said the government had focused on providing relief and creating economic ease for ordinary citizens. He expressed hope that the benefits of economic stability would gradually reach all sections of society.
Members of the economic team thanked the prime minister for his support and guidance during the budget process. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuing efforts aimed at economic recovery, fiscal stability, and sustainable growth.
